Benjamin A. Lilien
Benjamin Lilien has been practicing matrimonial law since 2007—first in Seattle, and then in New York beginning in 2010.
He has extensive experience settling and, if necessary, litigating
matters that involve property division, spousal maintenance, custody, visitation and child
support. He is also regularly involved in the negotiation and drafting of prenuptial, postnuptial
and marital settlement agreements. Mr. Lilien earned his partnership status because of his
tireless work ethic as well as his understanding of the unique difficulties experienced by
individuals faced with the dissolution of their marriage.
Mr. Lilien is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey and is an active member of the New York County Lawyers and New York State Bar associations. He has given guest lectures at various Bar Association events, including the New York State Bar Association’s “Matrimonial Law Practical Skills: Preparing for and Conducting Party Depositions” program. He has been selected as a “Super Lawyer” by Super Lawyers Magazine and is ranked as one of New York’s “Best Lawyers” in the field of family law.
Mr. Lilien received his BA degree from Stanford University and his JD from Stanford Law School in 2006. He graduated from Stanford University with departmental honors in history. Mr. Lilien lives in Brooklyn, New York, with his wife and two sons.
