Daniella Mayer
Daniella Mayer is a seasoned family law practitioner who represents and advises clients on all aspects of matrimonial law including prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, custody and visitation, spousal support, child support and equitable distribution.
She has experience in
resolving such matters through negotiation and drafting settlement agreements, and in litigating
these issues at trial and appellate courts when necessary.
Ms. Mayer graduated from Brown University and received her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law where she received a Justice John Paul Stevens Fellowship. She was formerly an associate with Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where she litigated complex commercial disputes and intellectual property matters. Ms. Mayer has practiced exclusively in the area of family law since joining Cohen Lans LLP (predecessor to Cohen Clair Lans Greifer & Simpson LLP) in July 2004 and is a partner of the firm.
Ms. Mayer has been consistently selected as a SuperLawyer by Super Lawyers Magazine in the field of Family Law. Ms. Mayer is a member of the Family Law Section and Women in Law sections of the New York State Bar Association and of the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF). Ms. Mayer was also a legal consultant to Showtime’s award-winning series The Affair for Season 3. Ms. Mayer’s biography is included in Marquis Who’s Who in America and Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers. Ms. Mayer has also presented about the economic impact of divorce on women at the Barron’s Women Summit, a multi-day symposium which brings together the leading minds in the wealth management industry.
